The Eagle Pride Band Program
welcomes Mr. Alan Sypert to the Eagle Pride Family. Mr.
Sypert will be taking the position of Associate Director of
Bands beginning
the 2008-2009 School Year. Mr. Sypert is a graduate of
Winnsboro High School in Winnsboro, TX and Northwestern
State University of Louisiana. He plays trombone, and has a
wife, Brandi, and a young son, Duncan. He is very excited
to work as a part of our program and hopes to help continue
the successes of all the Eagle Bands.

Our Mission:
The Rio Vista Band
Program is dedicated to developing character and good
behavior while providing students with an ideal outlet
for their energies through the pursuit of excellence in
performance while giving its students a firm foundation
in Music Education.

About Our Program:
The Rio Vista
Eagle Bands are comprised of students enrolled in
grades 6-12 in the Rio Vista ISD. These students
 participate in one of three ensembles, which are:
High School Band ("The Eagle Pride"), Middle School
Band, and Beginner Band. Both High School and
Middle School groups participate in all areas of UIL
competition and ATSSB All State Auditions, in UIL/TMEA/ATSSB
Region VII. The Beginner Band competes each spring
in an invitational concert competition.
Both the High School and Middle School Band's have
competitive Winterguard groups who compete in the North
Texas Colorguard Association (NTCA) Circuit in the January -
March, Winterguard season. |
Alignment: With the start of
the 2006-2007 school year, UIL, TMEA, and ATSSB will operate under new
Region and Area Alignments. RVHS will remain in Region VII and in
Area Central for ATSSB and Area D for UIL events.
