Please pardon our progress.
The Rio Vista ISD website is currently being reconfigured to a totally
new format to better provide you with information. Until the new
site is finished, most new information will be posted on this page, with
other pages on this site gradually being phased out. The new site
will be up and running by the start of the new school year. Again,
this change is to better serve the community and the school. Thank
you. |

The Mission Rio Vista
Independent School District is to provide students
quality of instruction through diverse and challenging
curriculum in a nurturing environment, while integrating
the unique resources of our community.

Rio Vista ISD is a
small, progressive, community-oriented learning
environment occupying the southwest corner of Johnson
county, Texas, on the Brazos and Nolan Rivers. Rio Vista
Schools thrive in the rural setting of the town of Rio
Vista, but students are also given many opportunities by
also being a part of one of the country's largest
metropolitan areas, the Dallas-Fort Worth "Metroplex."
Currently, Rio Vista ISD provides
services to approximately 900 students in grades
Pre-Kindergarten through 12, of those approximately
290-300 are students at Rio Vista High School. Students
of Rio Vista ISD are able to take part in various
activities, including: Art, Athletics, Band, Drama, and
UIL Academics. |
