Rio Vista Elementary FAQ

  • Absolutely! For the safety and security of the students we will require a background check on all of our volunteers. Contact Mr. Zook if you are interested.

  • School starts at 8:00 am. Students are allowed inside the building at 7:20am.

  • Tardies are given beginning at  8:10. If you arrive after that time you will need to ring the front doorbell for one of our staff members to check in your student

  • Students are dismissed at 3:30pm.

  • Call the office and let us know that morning. Send a note with your child when he returns to school with the following information: Child’s name, date of absence, reason for absence, teacher’s name, and parent signature. Please send a Doctor/Dentist note when applicable. Notes from parents or doctors must be received within 5 days of the absence.

  • We are excited to welcome visitors back to campus beginning April 12, 2021. Want to come eat lunch with your child? We can have ten visitors at at time. We can't wait to see you all again! Please submit the following form:

  • In order to support proper safety procedures on our campus, we are asking that all parents drop their students off at the entrances to the building. If you would like to walk your student to their drop off area before 7:55 you will need to fill out a form from the front office and will be expected to drop them off and then exit the building right away. Again, we are looking to provide an environment that is the healthiest possible for all of our students.
